The Perfect Peel and the iS Clinical Active Peel: How They Differ

Two peels, two levels of intensity

Chemical peels apply a formulated solution to the skin to remove damaged outer layers and stimulate cell turnover. We offer two, and they are genuinely different treatments rather than variations on a theme.

The Perfect Peel

A medical-grade peel formulated with TCA, kojic acid, retinoic acid, salicylic acid, phenol, vitamin C, and glutathione. It works at greater depth than a superficial peel and addresses more stubborn concerns.

Best for: sun and age spots, acne scarring, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, dull complexion, uneven tone and texture, fine lines.

What to expect: the solution is applied in office and left on for six hours. Visible peeling typically begins around day three and continues for seven to ten days. This is real downtime — plan around it rather than booking it before an event.

Skin tone: this peel is formulated for use across a range of skin types, but any medium-depth peel carries a risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, and that risk is higher in darker skin tones. We assess this individually rather than assuming suitability.

Pricing: $330 per session.

The iS Clinical Active Peel System

A botanically based two-step treatment that resurfaces and polishes while providing hydration and antioxidant support. We offer it as part of our Skin Cleansing Facial with Active Peel, a one-hour treatment.

Best for: improving tone, texture, and radiance with minimal downtime. A sensible starting point if you have not had a peel before or have sensitive skin.

What to expect: a cool tingling during application, minimal to no visible peeling, skin appearing smoother and more hydrated immediately afterward.

Pricing: $150 per session, including professional cleansing.

Choosing between them

The Perfect Peel if you have stubborn pigmentation or acne scarring and can accommodate seven to ten days of visible peeling. The Active Peel if you want resurfacing without meaningful downtime, or if this is your first peel.

Neither is a one-time fix. Both work best as part of ongoing skin care, and both require diligent sun protection afterward — without it, pigmentation returns.

Before you book

Peels are generally avoided during pregnancy, on active skin infections or open lesions, on recently tanned skin, and with certain medications including isotretinoin. A consultation lets us review this and assess your skin type properly.

Chemical peels are cosmetic procedures and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Medium-depth peels carry a risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, particularly in darker skin tones. Not appropriate for everyone. Individual results vary and are not guaranteed. Avoid sun exposure before and after treatment.
