What to Expect from Your First Telehealth Visit
Telehealth, step by step
If you have never had a telehealth appointment, it can feel unfamiliar. Here is exactly what happens, start to finish.
1. Choose your program and purchase online
Select the program from our online store and complete your purchase. Purchasing does not guarantee that medication will be prescribed — it initiates the process and connects you with our clinical team for evaluation. If your provider determines a program is not appropriate for you, we will tell you.
Not sure which program fits? Call (951) 898-8515 before purchasing and we will point you in the right direction.
2. We reach out to schedule
A member of our clinical team contacts you, usually by text or phone, to schedule your appointment and collect intake information. This includes a health questionnaire covering your medical history, current medications, and goals.
3. Your appointment
Your appointment takes place over a secure video platform, one-on-one with our licensed nurse practitioner. During the visit your provider will review your history and intake, discuss your symptoms and goals, order lab work if indicated, determine whether the program is appropriate for you, and go through the treatment plan and your questions.
This is a clinical evaluation, not a formality. Take the time to ask about side effects, what to expect, and what monitoring is involved.
4. Lab work, if required
Some programs — hormone therapy in particular — require lab work before anything is prescribed. If labs are needed we will coordinate ordering them. Lab work is billed separately and is not included in your program cost.
Weight loss patients often do not need labs upfront, though your provider may recommend them based on your history.
5. Medication is shipped
Once your provider approves your plan, your medication is prepared through a LegitScript-certified pharmacy and shipped to you, including any necessary supplies and dosing instructions. Most patients receive theirs within a few business days of approval.
6. Ongoing support
Our clinical team is available to answer questions, help manage side effects, and support you through the program. Reach us at (951) 898-8515 during business hours.
